so freshmen year i had a hawk and all the jocks there made fun of me and talked hella shit i have been since been expelled from that school 2 years later i go back and visit my old friends there and now all the jock got those small hawk things and they are died red the funn thing is that is a big conterdiction to all the shit they said to me be for i guess they are "faggots" as they say to now

Well, THAT GIRL has had it for 2.5/3 years now. They definitely only had the shit hawk for like a day. I would do the math...douchebags.

The usual anti-gay put-downs - they're used without thinking. In fact, making fun of a group of people in general is so common that it's sad.
I guess it's 'cause people like to be part of a group and they feel more secure and part of the group by attacking other groups for not following their group's identity. Trying to avoid doing it is hard, but something worth attempting.
Anyone who does attack you for something that ain't their business (like your 'hawk) has fallen into self-important arrogance - IMHO.

I can't believe how self righteous everyone is being.
There are all these posts about being outcasts, and bitching about how you're the original mohawk in whatever little high school you go to. Why do you have to have to take the piss out of a different group of people? Don't you realize how insecure that is? You have no more right to wear a mohawk than any other person, jock or otherwise. The particularly silly and inauthentic look of the jock hawk may not be to your aesthetic, nor is it to mine, but also realize that you hate it for the same reasons normal people find your mohawk to look so stupid and "retarted" ;). You demand acceptance from haters, but look at yourselves. You are worse; haters and hypocrites.
(I used "you" pretty generally. I'm sure I also hate on things I don't really like, or think look stupid. But it's still worth it to try and take a more objective approach to judging other people.)

My school has been doing this, too. I'd rather be "made fun of" for my hawk than have a bunch of people with 1 inch hawks going around. Of course, I'm not trying to put down people with "1 inch hawks", but when you get a mohawk just because it's "the cool thing to do for the week" it's annoying, there's a difference.
A bunch of jocks at my school have this, too. It pisses me off a bit, but at the same time I think it's quite funny, they look ridiculous.. in a bad way, haha. I know I look ridiculous in my paint splattered shirts, mismatching knee high socks and paint splattered shoes, but I like it that way :)
Anyways, I agree with everyone here... I'm just hoping this fad for the jocks ends really soon.
